Kasper, a student at Turku University of Applied Sciences, has been working as a warehouse employee at Finnish Design Shop for nearly two years. “As a warehouse employee, I work in receiving, picking, packing, and shipping—so I’ve been able to follow the entire flow of goods through the warehouse. My work area changes weekly, which makes the job very diverse and interesting,” Kasper explains.

Kasper already had some logistics experience when he started at Finnish Design Shop, which made it easier to learn new tasks. For the first six months, he worked via Barona before being hired directly by Finnish Design Shop. What Kasper appreciates most are the variety of tasks and the supportive, open work environment.

Aino, who recently moved to Turku, also ended up at Finnish Design Shop’s warehouse through Barona. Even though she didn’t have prior experience in logistics, the new job has pleasantly surprised her with its cleanliness and variety.
“My tasks mainly include packing and picking orders. The logistics center at Finnish Design Shop is very clean and modern, so it’s a pleasant place to work. The work community is also fantastic—I’ve been able to be myself and work in a way that suits me,” Aino says.
